All orchestra sizes and combinations can be accomodated. I will record performances, rehearsals and extra patch sessions for later editing if required. Performances can be recorded for commercial release, archival purposes, as reference recordings, for auditions or posterity. I also specialise in recording student recitals and concert hall debuts, educational programmes, etc. Special student rates are available. Operas can be recorded, although preferably not from a full dress performance. 

Almost any performance venue is suitable for recording: churches, cathedrals, concert halls, large recording studios for large orchestras, or smaller settings for chamber music. When choosing a venue, check for possible outside noises which may hinder the recording process.

Once the recording on location is complete, I undertake all editing, mixing and mastering tasks for your recording in the studio. Please ensure that you have an extra copy of the music score available for the duration of the recording and editing.

From jazz soloists to Big Bands, your performance can be recorded live, or layered on multitrack and later mixed, depending on your requirements.

Jazz and contemporary recordings produced include performances by Col. Bob Wheal's Top Brass, Tina May and Claire Martin, Counterpoise with Eleanor Bron.

Sound Effects and Sound Design
I produce sound effects and soundscapes for a variety of applications. These can include on-location sound effect recordings such as sounds of nature, street scenes and so forth, studio creations and sampled sound design, or a combination.

Having spent many years working with theatre groups and visual art schools, I am familiar with the recording requirements for performances where music is an integral (but not an exclusive) part of a production. I am equipped to help you accomplish a wide variety of tasks: Cues for stage performance and theatrical productions, choreographed performance such as dance or circus acts.

I work with a number of post-production industry partners who specialise in post-production for film. 

I also produce and engineer music and soundtracks for New Media - Podcasts and other internet streaming media, A/V presentations, CD-ROM multimedia titles and more. 

Drawing from my years of experience, I will undertake full production and engineering serivces to produce an individual song or an album's worth of material in a variety of popular music styles. I can arrange studio bookings at a variety of recording studios ranging from inexpensive venues to top industry recording studios as per requirement.
